Das Ziel ist eine nachhaltige Gestaltung landwirtschaftlicher Produktionssysteme auf der Grundlage bestimmter Prinzipien. Als flexibles Konzept ist der kologische Landbau fr die weltweite Anwendung gedacht und zeigt eine entsprechend groe geografische Vielfalt in der Umsetzung. Die gegenseitige Kenntnis der Praxis des kologischen Landbaus ist allein aus Grnden der Information, aber auch fr die Netzwerkbildung zum Wissens und Erfahrungsaustausch von groem Interesse. Die Russische Fderation stellt mit ihren 403 Millionen ha landwirtschaftlicher Nutzflche einen gewaltigen Agrarraum dar. Eine nachhaltige Gestaltung der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion ist dabei von entsprechend groem und durchaus internationalem Interesse. Allerdings muss die Entwicklung der Landwirtschaft in Russland auf die besonderen soziokonomischen Bedingungen im Zuge der Transformation reagieren und steht so vor besonderen Herausforderungen. Dies betrifft sowohl die politischen, konomischen und nicht zuletzt soziokulturelle Ansprche an die Landwirtschaft, wie auch die entsprechenden Rahmenbedingungen fr die Umsetzung nachhaltiger Bewirtschaftungssysteme. Laut Umfrageergebnissen wnschen 41% der befragten Kunden in Deutschland mehr Information' ber den kologischen Landbau in Mittel und Osteuropa (vgl. REUTER, 2005). Bisher haben sich die Akteure mehr oder weniger einzeln um eine fortschrittliche Entwicklung des BioSektors in Russland bemht. Die vorliegende Arbeit, mit detaillierten und objektiven Informationen, kann daher eine Grundlage fr jetzige und knftige Akteure bilden, um fr den kologischen Landbau in Russland strker und vereinter zusammenzuarbeiten.
