Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Germanistik Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 2,3, Universitt Trier, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit sollen jedoch Werke thematisiert werden, die nicht mehr unmittelbar in die Phase whrend oder kurz nach dem deutschen Kolonialismus eingeordnet werden k?nnen. Daher wurde eine Auswahl getroffen, die schlielich die Romane "Die schweigenden Feuer"(1994)5 von Giselher W. Hoffmann, "Herero"(2003)6 von Gerhard Seyfried, sowie "Morenga" (1978)7 von Uwe Timm umfasst. Die drei Romane thematisieren die Kolonialgeschichte Deutschlands mit Bezug auf die V?lker Namibias mit h?chst unterschiedlichenSchwerpunkten, wobei die negativenKulminationspunktedie Kriege der deutschen Schutztruppen gegen die Herero (1904) und Nama (19041907/8) sind.8Wichtig fr den Vergleich der drei Romane mit ihrem hohen Grad an Historizitt sind die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven, die sie einnehmen. Whrend der namibischedeutschstmmige Schriftsteller Giselher W. Hoffmann die Perspektive des Herero Himeezembi einnimmt und sich mit dem Niedergang der Kultur durch die Kolonisation beschftigt, entwickelt sich die Handlung aus Sicht der Herero von 1861 bis 1904. Der Roman Herero hingegen versucht, die Situation aus Sicht der Deutschen und der Afrikaner zu schildern, womit beide Perspektiven Raum zur Artikulation gewinnen sollen. Im Kontrast dazu ist Morenga konstruiert aus einer Vielzahl an verschiedenen historischen Dokumenten mitsich abwechselnden fiktionalen Passagen. Der literarische Raum, welcherder Titelfigur zugewiesen wird, ist auf den ersten Blick relativ eng begrenzt und die Handlung stark fokussiert...
