Konzerne bilden die maBgebliche Organisations form fUr groBe und mittlere Unternehmen. Um so mehr muB es erstaunen, daB sich die Betriebswirtschaftslehre dem Konzernphanomen abgesehen von der legalistisch gepragten Konzernbilanzierung bisher nur in An sat zen angenommen hat. Zu den wenig beachteten Forschungsberei chen zahlt in diesem Zusammenhang auch das interne, kalkulatori sche Konzernrechnungswesen. Konzerne lassen sich als Verbundunternehmen charakterisieren und stellen somit Planungseinheiten dar. Um Konzerne zu fUhren, ist man deshalb vor allem im Hinblick auf kurzfristig wirksame Ent scheidungen auf Daten angewiesen, die ihren Ursprung in kalkula torischen Rechenwerken finden. Wahrend die kostenrechnerische Diskussion vergleichsweise schnell auf Anderungen fertigungsorganisatorischer Bedingungen (Automatisierung) reagiert hat, laBt sie bislang Beitrage ver missen, die eine Anpassung des kalkulatorischen Rechnungswesens an aufbauorganisatorische Begebenheiten des Unternehmensgesamt gebildes zum Inhalt haben, und das, obgleich der ProzeB fort schreitender Konzernbildung schon seit Jahrzehnten zu beobachten ist. Diesem Mangel zu begegnen, bildet das Anliegen dieser Ab handlung. * Die vorliegende Arbeit wurde im Dezember 1992 von der Fakultat fUr Betriebswirtschaftslehre der Universitat Mannheim als Dis sertation angenommen. Es ist mir ein besonderes Anliegen, hier an erster Stelle meinem hochverehrten akademischen Lehrer, Herrn Professor Dr. Heinz Bergner, dafUr zu danken, daB er diese Arbeit Uberhaupt erst er moglichte und sie in vielfaltiger Weise forderte.
