Der Einsatz der Elektronischen Datenverarbeitung hat in verschiedenen Un ternehmensbereichen zu beachtlichen Rationalisierungserfolgen geflihrt. 1m Bereich der Konstruktion staBt der Rechnereinsatz zunachst auf Schwierig keiten, denn dieser Aufgabenbereich ist besonders vielseitig und uneinheit lich. Die Schwierigkeiten lassen sich aber in vielen Fallen liberwinden, und von Jahr zu Jahr werden mehr Erfolge des Rechnereinsatzes auch in der Kon struktion bekannt. Eine Vorlesung liber Rechneranwendung in der Konstruktion, die ich seit 1968 mit Unterstlitzung des Institutes flir Konstruktionstechnik und des Bun des der Deutschen Industrie an der Technischen Universitat Mlinchen halte, traf deshalb auf groBes Interesse bei Studenten und insbesondere bei Prak tikern aus der Industrie. Mit Unterstlitzung des SpringerVerlages kann diese Vorlesung in gestraffter Form nun auch als Buch erscheinen. Den Mitarbeitern des Institutes flir Konstruktionstechnik und den diskus sionsfreudigen Teilnehmern an der Vorlesung verdanke ich wertvolle kri tische Hinweise. Herrn Professor Dr.Ing. W.
