Wenn mit Fhrung hauptschlich die Fhrungskraft verbunden wird, welche ber ganz bestimmte Eigenschaften, bestimmtes Verhalten und profundes Fachwissen verfgen muss, werden die entsprechenden Fhrungsmodelle entwickelt. Diese bauen auf die Eigenschaften, das Verhalten und sogar auf bestimmte Personen auf. Diese Personen, gestern noch Helden, versagen heute hufig und zwar nicht, weil sie schlechter als ihre Vorgnger sind, sondern aufgrund vernderter Rahmenbedingungen. In einer zunehmend komplexen und dynamischen Umwelt uern sich diese neuen Rahmenbedingungen in komplexeren Aufgaben und einer Vernderung des Arbeiterbilds. Die meisten Arbeiter von heute sind Kopf und ServiceArbeiter. Diese bedrfen einer anderen Fhrung als Arbeiter der Industriegesellschaft, welche meist krperliche Arbeit verrichteten. Diese Studie beschftigt sich mit einem neuen Verstndnis von Fhrung, aufbauend auf den Annahmen des Sozialen Konstruktionismus. Diese Theorie stammt aus der Sozialpsychologie und beschftigt sich damit wie Menschen die Welt wahrnehmen und konstruieren. Laut dem Sozialen Konstruktionismus ist die Welt eine soziale Konstruktion und Wissen und Erkennen sind soziale Prozesse. Wissen spielt in der heutigen Gesellschaft eine groe Rolle und bildet in dieser Studie die Grundlage fr die spteren berlegungen ber Fhrung. Daher wird nach der Darstellung des Sozialen Konstruktionismus das Thema Wissen betrachtet. Es geht um die Wissensmodelle, um die Erklrung von organisationalem Wissen und um das gngige Verstndnis von Wissensmanagement.
