Der Inhalt des Buches fut auf praktischen Erfahrungen, die der Verfasser in der amerikanischen Raumfahrtindustrie und in der Deutschen Forschungsanstalt fr Luft und Raumfahrt gesammelt und in Form von Vorlesungen an der Universitt Hannover, dem Virginia Polytechnic Institute und dem California Institute of Technology weitergegeben hat. Das Buch wendet sich an Interessenten der Faserverbundtechnologie im weitesten Sinne.
