Konsumentenverhalten ist ein zentrales Fach der verhaltensorientierten Betriebs wirtschaftslehre. Die hierzu verffentlichten Monographien, Aufstze und Arbeits papiere sind kaum zu bersehen. Es gibt spezielle Fachzeitschriften und Fach kongresse. Auch an Lehrbchern ber Konsumentenverhalten herrscht kein Mangel. Ein neues Buch ber Konsumentenverhalten mu daher mehr bieten als eine systematische bersicht ber Forschungsergebnisse. Die Zielsetzung dieser Verffentlichung ist hher angesetzt worden. Ausgangspunkt ist die berzeugung, da es notwendig ist, Konsumentenverhalten empirisch zu erforschen, aber auch die Einsicht, da die empirische Forschung nur einen Ausschnitt des Konsumentenverhaltens erfassen kann. Empirische Forschung beschreibt relativ einfache Zusammenhnge und Gegenwrtiges, aber nicht die Komplexitt vieler Prozesse sowie die Genese der Erscheinungen und versagt, wenn selbstbestimmtes Handeln Regelmigkeiten durchbricht. Erscheinungen des Konsumentenverhaltens werden in dieser Verffentlichung systematisch als das Ergebnis einer evolutionren Entwicklung dargestellt. Dadurch wird der Widerspruch zwischen der empirischen und geisteswissenschaftlichen Forschung aufgelst. Die verschiedenen Forschungsergebnisse erhalten eine umfas sende theoretische Basis und knnen in Zusammenhnge eingeordnet werden. Neue Aspekte werden deutlich wie die Bedeutung der Motorik fr Erklrungen des Konsumentenverhaltens. Darauf wurde in der Konsumentenforschung bisher kaum eingegangen. In dieser Verffentlichung findet man dazu ein Kapitel.
