Die ersten beiden Kapitel umfassen die biologischen und kontinuumsmechanischen Grundlagen. Danach wird das Muskelmodell beschrieben, hergeleitet und seine Implementierung in eine FiniteElemente Software dargestellt. Der letzte Teil erlutert die Identifikation von Materialparametern, die Validierung und die Simulation eines Kontaktproblems zwischen vereinfachten Muskeln. Die hier verwendete Vorgehensweise ist generell auf hyperelastische Werkstoffe anwendbar. Daher richtet sich dieses Buch an Wissenschaftler und Ingenieure, die sich mit der mathematischen Formulierung und Implementierung von Materialmodellen fr biologische Gewebe, insbesondere Muskelgewebe, und hyperelastischen technischen Werkstoffen beschftigen.
