Magnus Hinz setzt sich in seiner Monographie zunchst allgemein mit der Problematik der Entwicklungshilfe und dem Begriff der "Dritten Welt" auseinander. Es folgt ein geschichtlicher berblick von bilateralen Sportfrdermanahmen im Auftrag der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bis hin zur aktuellen Situation. Geldgeber wie ausfhrende Organe mit ihren jeweiligen Konzeptionen werden detailliert vorgestellt. Der zweite Teil des Buches stellt am Beispiel der Republik Sdafrika drei verschiedene Manahmen der internationalen Sportfrderung und deren praktische Umsetzung vor. Um die politische Hintergrundsituation und die damit verbundene Problematik im Sport in Sdafrika verstndlich zu machen, geht ein weiteres Kapitel explizit auf diese Thematik ein. Der Autor: Magnus Hinz, Jahrgang 1973, studierte die Fcher Deutsch und Sportwissenschaft an der HeinrichHeineUniversitt in Dsseldorf. Im Mai 2000 Abschlu des Studienganges. Verschiedene Auslandsaufenthalte mit Projektarbeit haben seine Studienzeit begleitet. Dreimal bereiste er fr jeweils mehrere Monate die Republik Sdafrika, um im Auftrag der Sportjugend Nrw das SportProjekt "Space" in Nelspruit zu betreuen. Eine weiterer Auslandsaufenthalt folgte im Juli 2000 nach Palstina in den GazaStreifen. Fr das SportProjekt "Sharaka" im Auftrag des Landessportbundes Nrw arbeitete der Autor in den Flchtlingscamps von GazaStadt. Diese Erfahrungen haben die Entstehung dieser Monographie grundlegend beeinflut. Magnus Hinz lebt zur Zeit in Victoria, Australien.
