Aller Voraussich t nach werden sich daraus erhebliche Verbesserungen der Standards der Finanzrechnungslegung auf einem Kontinent ergeben, auf dem was die Unternehmenspublizitt angeht bisher gleichartige Informationsanforderungen nicht existieren. Es ist kaum fabar, entspricht aber dennoch der Wahrheit, da einfache Finanzvergleiche der in ihren Branchen fhrenden europischen Unternehmen wegen der unterschiedlichen nationalen Rechnungslegungspraktiken meist noch nicht mglich sind. Das Problem ist in erster Linie auf die fehlende oder nur partiell erfolgende Konsolidierung der Unter nehmensgruppen zurckzufhren. Darber hinaus gibt es allerdings all die blichen Pro bleme, die sich aus unterschiedlichen Rechnungslegungsgrundstzen, Bewertungs und Gliederungsmethoden herleiten, die oft Vergleiche zwischen Unternehmen aus Gro britannien, den Niederlanden und Schweden sinnlos machen. Wenn letztendlich alle Unternehmen in der EG nach denselben Grundstzen Rechnung le gen, kann es sehr wohl der Fall sein, da einige heute populre Vorstellungen an Bedeu tung verlieren. Als Beispiel mag die oft zitierte Behauptung dienen, da bei deutschen Un ternehmen die Finanzierungsrelationen viel gtinstiger seien als bei entsprechenden bri tischen Unternehmen. Das mag sehr wohl der Fall sein; allerdings ist die fr diese Aus sage notwendige Informationsbasis nicht vllig geklilft. Der entscheidende Punkt ist, da die deutsche Rechnungslegungspraxis die Finanzierungsrelationen u. U. verzerrt dar stellt.
