Die vorliegende Arbeit entstand in dem 1985 von der Deutschen For schungsgemeinschaft an der Universitt Konstanz eingerichteten Sender forschungsbereich 221: "Verwaltung im Wandel". Durch meine Mitarbeit in dem sozialpsychologischen Teilprojekt B4 "Fhrung und Zusammenar beit bei komplexen Problemen: Eine Herausforderung fr die mittlere Fhrungsebene in der ffentlichen Verwaltung?" (Leitung Prof. Dr. Rudolf Fisch) wurde ich angeregt, mich in meinem Dissertationsprojekt nher mit der Dynamik der IntergruppenKooperation zu beschftigen. An dieser Stelle mchte ich allen danken, die auf verschiedenste Weise zum Entstehen dieser Arbeit beigetragen haben: Das Dissertationsprojekt wurde im Jahre 1986 durch den "Ausschu fr Forschungsfragen" der Universitt Konstanz finanziell untersttzt. Die Versuchsteilnehmerinnen und teilnehmer zeigten ein groes Engage ment bei den Diskussionen in den Planspielsitzungen und viel Geduld bei der anschlieenden Datenerhebung. Herr Stadtbaurat Axel Mothes und Herr Thomas Scharley gaben entschei dende Anregungen bei der Entwicklung des PlanspielScenarios. Herr Dieter Bhm trug durch seine unermdliche Ansprache von Versuchs teilnehmern wesentlich dazu bei, da die notwendige Anzahl von Plan spielsitzungen zustande kommen konnte. Frau Andrea Truckenbrodt und Herr Wo lff Henschen untersttzten mi eh bei der Vorbereitung der Planspiele. Frau Monika KlasenRske vom Zeichenbro der Universitt fertigte die Graphiken zur Veranschaulichung der inhaltsanalytischen Ergebnisse an. Frau Reinharda Phildius vom Fotolabor der Universitt erstellte die Photographie der Versuchsanordnung. Frau Claudia Giese prfte die letzte Fassung des Manuskriptes kritisch auf Tippfehler und Inkonsistenzen in der Darstellung. Frau Karin Sommer, die psychologischtechnische Assistentin am Lehr stuhl fr Sozialpsychologie, kmmerte sich mit groem Einsatz um die technische Abwicklung der Videoaufzeichnungen der Planspielsitzungen.
