Die Kosten und Leistungsrechnung soll den Gterstrom im Betrieb erfassen, bewer ten und darstellen, ihn im Modell abbilden. Sie bedient sich dazu in der Praxis vieler unterschiedlicher Verfahren, deren Beschreibung Bibliotheken flillen knnte. In einem einftihrenden Werk kann nur eine kleine Auswahl der Verfahren geboten wer den. Die Auswahl sollte dann so getroffen werden, daL' der Anfnger an Bekanntes anknpfen und die bersicht wahren kann. Zugleich drfen die vorgestellten Verfah ren den spteren Weg zu anderen Verfahren die U.U. der Praxis mehr entsprechen, zunchst aber schwieriger zu verstehen sind nicht verbauen; sie sollten diesen Weg mglichst vorbereiten. Die Produktions und die Kostentheorie mssen zugrunde gelegt werden, wenn die Verfahren nicht zu vielleicht eleganten, aber nutzlosen Rechnungen und Formu laren entarten sollen. Schlielich mssen die Vorarbeiten bercksichtigt werden, die die Finanzbuch haltung fr die Kostenrechnung leisten kann. Umgekehrt hat die Kostenrechnung wieder Vorarbeit fur die Finanzbuchhaltung zu leisten. Ich habe versucht, diesen Anforderungen mit dem vorliegenden Buch gerecht zu werden. Es ist entstanden aus einftihrenden Vorlesungen und Ferienkursen, die ich an der RuhrUniversitt Bochum vorwiegend fr Studenten der Wirtschafts und der Ingenieurwissenschaften halte.
