Trotz einer immer besseren Anpassung der theoretischen Modelle an die prak tischen Gegebenheiten und trotz standig .verfeinerter Untersuchungsmethoden steht die betriebliche Praxis den Ergebnissen der wissenschaftlichen For schung gerade in diesem Bereich mehr als kritisch gegenuber. Die Bedenken beruhen einerseits auf der Befurchtung, die fur eine Anwendung der Modelle erforderlichen GroBen in der Realitat nicht exakt genug ermitteln zu konnen, und andererseits auf der Annahme, bei jeder Datenanderung Anpassungen an die neue Situation durchfuhren zu mussen. Ob diese Bedenken gerecht fertigt sind, laBt sich mittels kostentheoretischer Modellanalysen prufen. Der artige Untersuchungen werden hier fur ein erweitertes Grundmodell zur Er mittlung der kostenoptimalen Bestellmenge durchgefuhrt. Fur die Gliederung der Untersuchung boten sich zwei Wege an: Zum einen hatten alle Oberlegungen zur Weiterentwicklung des Grundmodells und sei ner Verbindung mit dem Produktionsbereich in direkt aufeinanderfolgenden Abschnitten dargestellt werden konnen. Die SensibilitatsanalYse hatte dann einen 'zweiten Teil' der Arbeit ausgemacht. Zum anderen bot sich der ein geschlagene Weg an. Er wurde vornehmlich aus didaktischen Grunden gewahlt. Didaktische Grunde sind auch dafur maBgebend, daB einige Probleme wiederholt angeschnitten und (wie zu erwarten) gelOst werden.
