Product DescriptionDer Glaube an die Mglichkeit von Wundern gilt in der philosophischen Diskussion seit langem als usserst suspekt. Insbesondere seit David Humes Ausfhrungen On Miracles gilt der Verweis auf Wunder gemeinhin als unzulssiges Beweismittel fr die Existenz eines Gottes. Bis heute haben zahlreiche Autoren die Argumente fr eine Dichotomie zwischen Rationalitt und Wunderglaube noch ausgebaut und verfeinert. Ist die Wunderfrage aber tatschlich so leicht vom philosophischen Schreibtisch aus zu erledigen? Die Arbeit legt nahe, dass wunderkritische Argumentationen weit weniger plausibel sind als gemeinhin angenommen. Diskutiert werden einige der bekanntesten wunderkritischen Positionen. Zuerst wird die Mglichkeit verteidigt, Wunder im Zusammenhang mit einem Gottesbeweis nichtzirkulr definieren zu knnen. Danach werden erkenntnistheoretische Einwnde gegen die Glaubwrdigkeit von Wunderberichten kritisiert und die methodologische Frage untersucht, ob es die wissenschaftliche Forschung tatschlich behinderte, wenn einem Ereignis Wundercharakter zugesprochen wrde.
