Da der Autor hierber in seiner Einfhrung selbst Auskunft gibt, sei hier nur hervorgehoben, da sich Hans Linde seine em pirische Arbeitsweise nie durch die Dogmatik einer Schule oder die Schablonen einer Methodik hat vorgeben lassen. 'Hin zu den Sachen selbst' (Edmund Hus serl) kann als seine Forschungsmaxime gelten. Diese Forschungspragmatik hat Linde nicht als Rezeptur propagiert, sondern in seinen Untersuchungen praktiziert. Das Wechselspiel von 'Justierung der Be griffe' und nchterner Spurensuche, das sich durch alle seine empirischen Arbei ten zieht, erlaubte ihm, auch sperrige soziale Sachverhalte przise auf den Begriff zu bringen: 'generative Strukturen', 'Sachdominanz in Sozialstrukturen', 'po lylogische Felder' oder 'Rekonkretisierung' sind hierfr Beispiele, die sich ber die Soziologie und Bevlkerungswissenschaft hinaus durchgesetzt haben, auch wenn der Urheber dabei hufig ungenannt blieb. Hans Linde hat an der Universitt Karlsruhe (bis 1967 Technische Hochschule) seit 1962 das Institut fr Soziologie aufgebaut und bis 1981 geleitet. Er gehrt zu den Mitbegrndern des Instituts fr Regionalwissenschaft dieser Universitt.
