Mit dieser Begrndung haben sie ihre militrische Prsenz in der islamischen Welt massiv ausgebaut. Dies lsst dort den Eindruck entstehen, dass die islamische Zivilisation angegriffen werde. Mit Blick auf die internationalen Beziehungen geht Naika Foroutan der Frage nach, welche Mglichkeiten bestehen, der Gefahr sich verschrfender Zivilisationskonflikte zu begegnen. Sie beschreibt die weltpolitischen Ordnungsstrukturen nach 1989, analysiert die Konflikte, die diese postbipolare Weltordnung beeinflussen, und erarbeitet Lsungsvorschlge zu ihrer Regulierung.
