Dabei gilt es zunchst zu klren, wie und wann es zu der Entstehung der unterschiedlichen Begriffe kam. Des Weiteren stellt sich die Frage, ob die Unterscheidung alleine am musikalischen Material oder am Umgang des Rezipienten mit diesem Material zu begrnden ist. Schlielich soll beleuchtet werden, ob fr die Einordnung in den einen oder anderen Bereich auch konomische Gesichtspunkte von Bedeutung sind. Nachdem eine musikalische Biographie Kurt Weills Einblick in dessen Knstlerpersnlichkeit gewhren wird, gilt es im letzten Kapitel der Frage nachzugehen, welche Position Kurt Weill einnimmt und ob es berhaupt eine der vorgestellten ist.
