Este trabajo se centra en el anlisis de los errores que los nios cometen cuando resuelven problemas no rutinarios. Diversos autores apuntan que estos fallos se producen debido a la aplicacin de creencias incorrectas sobre las matemticas. Presentamos a 22 estudiantes de 2 y 22 de 3 de E.P. problemas no rutinarios de adicin que diferan en su Estructura Semntica y en el Tipo de Informacin ofrecida en el Enunciado. Todos los alumnos fueron evaluados en dos Contextos de resolucin diferentes, resolver problemas y detectar el error. Los resultados muestran que el nivel de dificultad de los problemas se relaciona con las creencias que viola cada Tipo de Problema. As, los problemas en los que no es posible obtener una nica respuesta (i.e., Soluciones Mltiples) resultan ms complejos que aqullos en los que se debe descartar informacin nosignificativa (i.e., Datos Irrelevantes y la Solucin no requiere Clculo). Adems, la Estructura Semntica de Comparacin aumenta an ms la dificultad de dichos problemas. Por ltimo, el rendimiento es similar en ambos Grupos y en ambos Contextos de Evaluacin.
