La acelerada introduccin de las Tecnologas de la Informacin y las Comunicaciones en los procesos sustantivos de las universidades cubanas ha cambiado las acciones necesarias a realizar por el profesor para elaborar un curso, creando cierta dependencia en este proceso. Esta investigacin tiene como objeto el proceso de produccin de cursos en formato digital, para elaborar una concepcin terica metodolgica que favorezca la actividad independiente del profesor en este procedimiento; partiendo del estudio de los fundamentos tericos y prcticos del objeto y de la experiencia documentada de varias universidades en el Centro de Referencia para la Educacin de Avanzada (CREA) del Instituto Superior Politcnico Jos Antonio Echeverra (Cujae). La concepcin favorece la autoeducacin del profesor mediante orientaciones y ayudas que posibilitan el desarrollo de estrategias de aprendizaje durante la actividad del profesor en la produccin de un curso. Sirve de apoyo a aquellos profesores que pretendan enfrentarse al proceso de forma individual.
