El estudio trata de los antecedentes de la organizacin deportiva espaola analizando los orgenes del deporte en Espaa, el nacimiento de la organizacin deportiva espaola de 1923 a 1931, el deporte espaol de 1931 a 1939 y la Delegacin Nacional del Frente de Juventudes de 1936 a 1943. La investigacin en su segunda parte se centra en realizar un estudio de la Delegacin Nacional de Deportes desde 1943 a 1975 a travs del Boletn Oficial de esta institucin. Este trabajo sistematiza cada uno de los periodos referidos y seala a cada uno de los personajes que tuvieron una importancia decisiva o significativa en el periodo estudiado. A lo largo de una serie de esquemas y organigramas, se analizan las distintas estructuras de la institucin, as como los cambios que sufre como resultado de las diferentes orientaciones polticas del rgimen de Franco y las consecuencias en la estructura deportiva derivadas de la Constitucin democrtica de 1978.
