J'ai retrouv ce journal dans deux cahiers des armoires bleues de NeauphleleChteau.Je n'ai aucun souvenir de l'avoir crit.Je sais que je l'ai fait, que c'est moi qui l'ai crit, je reconnais mon criture et le dtail de ce que je raconte, je revois l'endroit, la gare d'Orsay, les trajets, mais je ne me vois pas crivant ce Journal. Quand l'auraisje crit, en quelle anne, quelles heures du jour, dans quelles maisons ? Je ne sais plus rien. [...]Comment aije pu crire cette chose que je ne sais pas encore nommer et qui m'pouvante quand je la relis. Comment aije pu de mme abandonner ce texte pendant des annes dans cette maison de campagne rgulirement inonde en hiver.La douleur est une des choses les plus importantes de ma vie. Le mot 'crit' ne conviendrait pas. Je me suis trouve devant des pages rgulirement pleines d'une petite criture extraordinairement rgulire et calme.
