Desde un enfoque ecolgico, cognitivo, etnogrfico y situado, se plantea como objetivo del presente estudio encontrar los procesos y la forma en que la familia y el museo se constituyen en ambientes creativos, propicios para el aprendizaje informal. Con un diseo mixto de investigacin se pudo valorar en primer lugar la predisposicin del microsistema familiar a la creatividad, en segundo lugar las condiciones de creatividad que puede mostrar el museo como mesosistema creativo y por ltimo la obtencin de contenidos de aprendizaje informal en dichos sistemas. En la parte emprica, se define como grupo focal, denominado en este trabajo objetivo, a sistemas familiares mexicanos con hijos en edad escolar; como referencia transcultural se trabajo con un grupo de padres de familia de nacionalidad espaola. A travs de anlisis mixtos que permiten la hibridacin de mtodos de valoracin y de acuerdo a propuestas contemporneas, se encontr una alta correspondencia respecto al planteamiento inicial.
