The Two Stories In This French Reader, 'La Famille Marais' And 'Un Sjour En France,' Are Correlated To The Themes, Vocabulary And Structures Presented In The Textbook 'Le Franais Vivant 1,' Although They May Be Used Independently As Well. Students May Begin The First Story, 'La Famille Marais,' After Completing The First Eight Lessons In The Textbook. Vocabulary Is Limited To Those Words And Expressions Used In The First Half Of 'Le Franais Vivant 1,' With The Exception Of New Words And Expressions That Are Printed In Boldface Or Italics And Appear In The End Vocabulary Of The Reader. The Second Story, 'Un Sjour En France,' Uses Vocabulary From The Entire Textbook, Again With New Italicized Words And Expressions Found In The End Vocabulary.
