La FungiCultura es el arte y la ciencia de cultivar setas, de manera artesanal, rpida y econmica, de acuerdo con parmetros de Produccin Limpia, Productividad Total y Cero Emisiones. Es una propuesta que hace un equipo interdisciplinario de docentesinvestigadores de la Fundacin Universitaria Internacional del Trpico Americano UNITROPICO, en la ciudad de El Yopal, capital del departamento de Casanare ubicada en el piedemonte de la cordillera oriental de los Andes, en la Orinoquia colombiana, un ecosistema estratgico para la humanidad. El cultivo de setas proporciona una solucin integral a problemas que afectan los pilares econmico, ecolgico y social que soportan el Desarrollo Sostenible, brindando opciones que permiten mitigar el desempleo, la pobreza, el hambre y la malnutricin, as como la contaminacin de los recursos naturales, en una respuesta transdisciplinaria de carcter biotico y ecotico, que reconoce el valor tanto utilitario como el valor intrnseco del recurso natural fngico, que ofrece un elevado potencial en bioprospeccin.
