El uso de las tecnologas de la informacin y la comunicacin ha propiciado el desarrollo de nuevos escenarios de accin, donde la informacin y el conocimiento juegan un papel fundamental, debido a la rapidez con que es difundida la informacin, su accesibilidad y a la necesidad de transformarla en conocimiento para el desarrollo de nuevas propuestas tecnolgicas. Las universidades se enfrentan a los retos que la sociedad de la informacin y del conocimiento le imponen, y se asumen como organizaciones socialmente activas, e interconectadas que mantienen su funcin de ser productoras de conocimiento para el desarrollo; por lo que la innovacin est presente en el proceso de responder a los cambios y de generarlos para ofrecer respuestas acertadas y pertinentes con las actuales demandas. Por lo anteriormente expuesto, se desarroll una propuesta de gestin de la de la UCV, como una manera de favorecer este tipo de gestiones dentro de organizaciones educativas, a partir de los docentes que la conforman y asumiendo los retos que las TIC imponen.
