Mario BriceoYragorry naci en Venezuela, Trujillo en 1897. El objetivo fundamental de este trabajo fue estudiar la comprensin de la Historia en la totalidad de la obra de Mario BriceoIragorry, porque eso no haba sido intentado por ningn autor en el momento en que comenzamos este trabajo. Pensamos que hemos cumplido con este propsito. Lemos y recogimos informacin acerca del tema en toda la produccin publicada del autor que no deja de ser extensa. De este primer acercamiento extrajimos la organizacin del trabajo en tres captulos: El orden, la solidaridad y la angustia. Cada uno de ellos con diferente duracin cronolgica, debido a que los cambios polticos del acontecer venezolano tuvieron incidencia en el pensamiento histrico de nuestro autor. El primero de ellos abarca veinticinco aos y se desarrolla durante el rgimen de Juan Vicente Gmez, el segundo, un poco ms de quince y el ltimo, slo cinco aos y corresponde a la poca de la dictadura del General Marcos Prez Jimnez.
