El propsito de este trabajo es argumentar a favor de una comprensin sistemtica del Sumo Bien en Kant, la necesidad de la justificacin o deduccin de su legitimacin filosfica, y sustentar que la funcin e importancia de dicho concepto es fundamental para la tica kantiana; es decir: que el Sumo Bien mantiene una unidad sistemtica propia, que es consistente con la coherencia lgica de la filosofa prctica de Kant como componente necesario, y que tiene un estatus filosfico, un alcance necesario y universal. Sealamos los pasajes donde Kant habla acerca del Sumo Bien, clasificando las lecturas derivadas de su recepcin en la discusin filosfica especializada; desarrollamos las problemticas acerca de sus componentes: Felicidad y Virtud, y discutimos el estatus legtimo de los postulados de Dios y la inmortalidad del alma. Como aportaciones innovadoras, argumentamos a favor de un cuarto postulado: la Gracia divina, y desarrollamos la posibilidad de una representacin indirecta del Sumo Bien, aunque sensible, va la imaginacin. Rechazamos dos objeciones: que el Sumo Bien sea un tema aadido a la tica kantiana y que sea una problemtica teolgica ms que filosfica.
