La confrontacin terica y metodolgica de los hallazgos obtenidos por intermedio de una matriz metafrica con investigaciones que utilizaran diferentes herramientas instruccionales y evaluativas dio origen a establecer los requisitos indispensables que debiera tener cualquier herramienta para garantizar un eficiente aprendizaje con hipermedia. La capacidad que tiene esta matriz para integrar diferentes campos y reas simultneamente, respalda los objetivos del aprendizaje significativo, de ser un puente entre las ciencias y las humanidades, de ayudar a convertir los textos lineales en textos o grficos hiperlineales, a reestructurar los currcula y hacer el aprendizaje menos dependiente de los libros textos como exige el currculo hiperlineal. Reconsiderar el uso de la metfora para la comprensin y enseanza del estilo cientfico se evidencia al demostrarse que la estructura del conocimiento cientfico y tecnolgico se activa por las representaciones sensoriales de orientacin espacial, como arriba/abajo, adentro/afuera, etc., del concepto metafrico Fluido (SUSTANCIA)/Envase (OBJETO).
