Una nueva literatura nace de la consolidacin de estas comunidades. Los escritores traducen a la ficcin el desplazamiento de las islas al continente, la experiencia de la migracin o del exilio, las dudas del sujeto obligado a abandonar el mundo conocido. La vieja nostalgia del destierro convive con las expectativas de una vida mejor en las sociedades receptoras. Las obras se hacen eco de una tradicin de las letras y al mismo tiempo marcan su diferencia. Cmo dialoga esta produccin literaria con los caminos trazados por la literatura del exilio? Cmo responde a la experiencia de las comunidades caribeas en suelo continental? En otras palabras, es posible hablar de una literatura de las disporas caribeas?
