About the Author Jos Mara Ridao, nacido en Madrid en 1961, es licenciado en Filologa rabe y en Derecho. En 1987 ingresa en la Carrera Diplomtica habiendo ejercido desde entonces su labor profesional en Angola, Rusia, Guinea Ecuatorial y Francia. Es autor de la novela Agosto en el Paraso (1998) y del libro de relatos Excusas para el doctor Huarte (1999). Ha recogido sus artculos periodsticos en el volumen La desilusin permanente (2000). Actualmente reside en Madrid.
