Se presenta una concepcin terica y metodolgica de la superacin profesional de los docentes de la carrera de Medicina en Cuba para el tratamiento del contenido de la Farmacologa, la cual facilita la configuracin de la superacin centrada en la preparacin psicolgica, epistmica, didctica e investigativa del docente para que contribuya de manera responsable al perfeccionamiento del proceso formativo del egresado de la carrera de Medicina. Desde esta concepcin se logra la transformacin del diseo de la superacin de los docentes en Ciencias Mdicas, pues articula las necesidades personales de los docentes y de la formacin del Mdico General desde los marcos legales y contextuales en que se desarrolla el currculo, comprometindolo con el tratamiento del contenido de la Farmacologa en todas las asignaturas y espacios de influencia en los que se desempea.
