Zustzlich gibt es Ratgeber und Workshops, die die Botschaft verbreiten: Lachen ist gesund! Dabei stellt sich die Frage, ob Lachen als Verhalten wirklich einen wissenschaftlich nachweisbaren Effekt auf so viele gesundheitliche Dimensionen hat. Die ersten gesundheitlichen Effekte wurden bereits von Aristoteles proklamiert (Goldstein, 1982). In den letzten 20 Jahren gab es einen erneuten Schub in der Gelatologie, der ber 50 publizierte Artikel zu dem Thema und neue differenzierte Hinweise auf mgliche Effekte hervorbrachte (Martin, 2001). In der vorliegenden Arbeit geht es darum, der aufgeworfenen Frage kritisch nachzugehen und die vorliegenden empirischen Befunde der letzten 25 Jahre zu diesem Thema zusammenzutragen, zu systematisieren und abzuwgen, welche Schlussfolgerungen aus den Ergebnissen zu ziehen und welche mglichen praktischen und therapeutischen Implikationen abzuleiten sind. Es stellt sich also die Frage, ob Lachen als mgliches Gesundheitsverhalten so wirksam ist, dass es fr gesunderhaltende beziehungsweise rehabilitierende Interventionen relevant sein knnte.
