Enfin, l'ouvrage a t refondu pour tenir compte des changements intervenus dans la transcription des noms chinois : dsormais, tous les noms figurent en Pinyin, c'estdire la graphie internationalement adopte depuis 1958. Les doubles entres de l'index permettent au lecteur de retrouver les noms sous leurs deux orthographes, l'ancienne comme la nouvelle.
