Qu se puede ver y qu no en una poca, cmo podemos pensar la prohibicin de la mirada y la verosimilitud de lo icnico? Walter Benjamin ya se haba detenido en la sospecha de que las imgenes y su reconocimiento se ligan a los aspectos polticos mas ntimos de la sociedad, al pensar la relacin del arte, la esttica y la superestructura, y la aparicin de una nueva forma de ver y relacionar la mirada con lo social. Las imgenes emergentes en una sociedad estn ligadas un rgimen discursivo que posibilita su aparicin y reconocimiento a nivel social. Nuestra propuesta es pensar la accin de un rgimen de visibilidad desde la categora Rgimen Escpico de Martin Jay junto a herramientas provenientes de la semitica de la imagen. De esta manera, el siguiente anlisis se centra en la imagen meditica de la guerra de Malvinas en los peridicos poca y El Litoral de la ciudad de Corrientes, Argentina, para poder entender el funcionamiento de un rgimen de visibilidad en una situacin particular.
