About the Author Chercheur au CNRS et l'cole des hautes tudes en sciences sociales, Franois Furet (19271997) a consacr l'essentiel de ses travaux la Rvolution franaise et c'est chez Flammarion qu'avec Mona Ozouf il publie, en 1989, le monumental Dictionnaire critique de la Rvolution Franaise (paru ensuite en ChampsFlammarion). Laurat du prix Tocqueville en 1990, il a notamment publi Penser la Rvolution franaise (1978) et Le Pass d'une illusion (1995).
