Damit verbunden ist die Internationalisierung diverser Mrkte, auf denen nicht nur Grokonzerne, sondern auch mittelstndische Unternehmen agieren: Gter, Dienstleitungs und Kapitalmrkte. Der Trend der Internationalisierung zeichnet sich gleichermaen in der Rechnungslegung der einzelnen Unternehmen ab, denn kapitalmarktorientierte Unternehmen sind seit dem Geschftsjahr 2005 verpflichtet internationale Rechnungslegungsstandards bei der Erstellung ihrer Jahresabschlsse zu beachten. Um die Abschlsse nach HGB und IFRS vergleichbarer zu machen, hat das Bundeskabinett am 21. Mai 2008 den Entwurf des Gesetzes zur Modernisierung des Bilanzrechts (BilMoG) beschlossen. In der Neufassung des HGB wird das derzeit angewandte deutsche Handelsrecht gestrkt durch Elemente internationaler Rechnungslegungsstandards. Ziel ist es insbesondere das bestehende Recht einerseits nicht aufzugeben und andererseits zu einer vollwertigen, aber kostengnstigeren und einfacheren Alternative zu den internationalen Rechnungslegungsstandards weiterzuentwickeln. Des Weiteren soll durch das BilMoG die Informationsfunktion handelsrechtlicher Abschlsse durch die neu hinzugefgten IFRSElemente betont werden. Die Abgrenzung aktiver und passiver latenter Steuern wird durch das BilMoG deutlich umfassender und klarer geregelt als nach jetzigem Recht und es ergeben sich hinsichtlich Ermittlung, Bewertung und Ausweis latenter Steuern umfangreiche nderungen. In dieser Arbeit werden sowohl die Grundlagen der Steuerabgrenzung als auch die zuknftigen Neuerungen durch das BilMoG (inkl. Vergleich zur Behandlung nach geltendem Recht) dargestellt.
