Many useful lathe accessories are now available on the market, and where financial resources allow, most users will prefer to purchase them rather than take the trouble and time to make them; but there are many jobs where a simple homemade accessory will serve just as well as an elaborate and expensive one. Some of the appliances described in this book can be used to carry out operations for which no ready made equipment is available, and all can be made by a competent lathe user, from material which is available in the workshop, or easy to obtain. Not what I expected
I was disappointed with this guide. Some sections were confusing, and a few accessories weren't explained well. I expected more comprehensive coverage for the price. It might work for some, but I found it lacking for my needs.
