In 1955, just as the world was pigeonholing him as the high priest of modernism, Le Corbusier shocked the architecture world with of all things weekend houses. I was looking forward to this book, but it arrived with a damaged cover and some pages were bent. I love the subject matter, but the presentation matters too. I hope to get a replacement soon.

Great Insight, But Lacking Depth
This book is a good introduction to Le Corbusier's work on the Maisons Jaoul. I enjoyed the photographs and sketches, but I expected a bit more technical detail. It’s interesting, though, if you're new to his designs.

Beautiful Design but Limited Content
While the book is beautifully presented, I found the content somewhat lacking. It touches on the key aspects of the Maisons Jaoul, but I wanted a deeper exploration of the architectural principles used. Still, it’s a nice coffee table book.
