La posie de Georges Schehad, c'est d'abord une simplicit qui n'exclut pas le mystre. On pense la luminosit des icnes que le pote voque frquemment. Que ce soit celle des lampes, ou celle du jour, tous ces pomes sont en effet pntrs d'une lumire qui donne une profondeur la moindre scne, au moindre souvenir autour duquel ils se cristallisent en peu de mots, autour d'une ou deux images. Tristesse et mlancolie se mtamorphosent leur tour dans cette lumire qui parat suspendre le temps.About the AuthorN le 2 novembre 1907 Alexandrie d'une famille libanaise, Georges Schehad a effectu une partie de ses tudes Paris, puis occup diffrents postes dans l'administration franaise au Liban. Pote d'inspiration surraliste ses dbuts, ayant rencontr luard, Max Jacob, Reverdy, il est aussi l'auteur d'une oeuvre dramatique importante. Il est mort Paris le 17 janvier 1989.
