Die Mediation bei beabsichtigter Auflsung von Lehrverhltnissen wurde in sterreich im Jahr 2008 rechtlich eingebettet. In dieser Studie wird hinterfragt, wie Mediation und Mediatoren Jugendliche in deren Lehrzeit hilfreich untersttzen knnen, noch bevor es zur Kndigung kommt. Mittels qualitativer Textanalyse offener Interviews mit Lehrlingen eines groen Wiener Unternehmens wurden deren Anliegen, Erfordernisse in ihrem Entwicklungsabschnitt sowie Erfolgsfaktoren fr eine erfolgreiche Begleitung durch Ausbilder erhoben. Die Forschungsergebnisse stehen im Einklang mit generellen Erkenntnissen ber die Lehrzeit und ber die Adoleszenz. Fr Mediatoren ergeben sich je nach Konfliktfeld differenzierte, hier konkret beschriebene Optionen, um wertvolle Dienste zu leisten. Mediatoren sollten Hand in Hand mit Organisationsberatern, Therapeuten, Psychologen, Sozialarbeitern und Fachberatern (Arbeitspsychologen, Pdagogen) wirken. Die Interviews bieten Einblick in den breiteren Kontext mglicherweise zu erwartender Probleme, Bedrfnisse und Herausforderungen von Lehrlingen in einem groen Betrieb vor Ort.
