Die Arbeit lsst sich in zwei methodischen Teilen betrachten: Im ersten Teil versuche ich Nelson und seine Methode deskriptiv darzustellen. Ich orientiere mich dabei an seinem Wissensstand und an seiner programmatischen Rede von 1922. Dieser Teil beinhaltet die Biographie, seine Philosophie, Erluterungen zur Gttinger Rede und eine grobe Beschreibung der Sokratischen Methode. Im zweiten Teil geht es mir darum, Hintergrnde und Regeln, die bei Nelson implizit bestehen, explizit zu erfassen. Dabei beziehe ich auch neuere methodische Erkenntnisse mit ein, um ein mglichst realistisches und strukturiertes Bild eines Sokratischen Gesprchs darstellen zu knnen. Dabei gehe ich insbesondere auf die Rolle der Wahrheit in Zusammenhang mit dem Sokratischen Gesprch, die dem Gesprch zugrunde liegenden Regeln, die Methode der regressiven Abstraktion und die sehr spezielle Funktion des Leiters ein. Abschlieen werde ich die Arbeit mit einem Fazit, welches die Leistungsfhigkeit der Methode aus heutiger Sicht betrifft und den aus meiner Sicht noch offen gebliebenen Fragen.
