Anderseits besteht ja eine der wesentlichsten Aufgaben des psychischen Apparats des Menschen (und auch des Tieres) darin, Daten von seiner Umwelt aufzunehmen und zu verarbeiten, bzw. zu speichern, urn sie bei sp teren Situationen wieder zur Ver fUgung zu haben. Mit Daten meinen wir nur "Ver nderungen am InputSystem", die pri r keine Infor mation bedeuten, sondern ihren informativen Gehalt erst durch die Verarbeitung erhalten. Die Daten sind dann Informationen, wenn sie mit frUher gesammelten Daten verglichen, d. h. mit diesen i n t e pre r tie r t werden kBnnen. ) Ein wichtiges Kennzeichen der psychischen Datenverarbeitung ist aber die Art der Steuerung dieser Verarbeitung. Das, . was aufgenommen und wie es verarbeitet wird, h ngt von der sub jektiven und situativen Bedeutung ab, die diesen Daten yom Individuum beigemessen wird. Die Verarbeitung (Auswahl, In terpretation, Speicherung, etc. ) ist also eine Funktion dieser subjektiven R e levan z, d. h. der motivationalen Konstellation beirn Subjekt. Ausgehend von dieser Grundkonzeption, wird in dieser Arbeit versucht, ein formales Modell der dabei wesentlichen Struk turen und Relationen zu bilden, urn einige auf dieser abstrak ten Ebene durchsichtiger werdende Zusammenh nge aufzuzeigen. Gleichzeitig kann mit Hilfe der ComputerSimulation die Leis tungsf higkeit eines solchen abstrakten Formalismus geprUft und mit den beobachtbaren oder erlebbaren psychischen VOr g ngen verglichen werden.
