Au moment o les tortionnaires reconnaissent leur sale besogne, sortent de l'ombre ceux qui se sont engags aux cts du FLN ds le 1er novembre 1954, date de l'insurrection algrienne. Les camarades des frres, trotskistes et libertaires dans la guerre d'Algrie retrace l'pope d'hommes et de femmes qui se sont engags aux cts du FNL algrien. Cette histoire est aussi celle des courants trotskistes et libertaires dans les annes 1950. A peine effleures dans le peu d'ouvrages parus et traitant le sujet, les activits des militants trotskistes et libertaires sont le plus souvent ignores. Publiques ou clandestines, ces actions de soutien sont diverses. De l'impression de tracts au transport de dirigeants du FLN en passant par la construction d'une usine d'armes au Maroc, l'engagement militant est sans faille. Il oblige ces femmes et ces hommes des activits inattendues (fabrication de fauxpapiers, voire de fausse monnaie..) et conduiront certains d'entre eux en prison.Elles sont ici dcrites dans le dtail au rythme de l'volution du conflit de 1954 1962. Certains d'entre eux continueront, aprs l'indpendance, l'aventure jusqu' Alger dans l'espoir que la guerre d'indpendance se transforme en rvolution algrienne.
