La question de laccs est au coeur des rflexions en amnagement du territoire. Souvent abord travers la notion de distance, le concept daccs relve pourtant de multiples dimensions. Une analyse dtaille des principaux cadres conceptuels de laccs est propose afin dlaborer une synthse modlisant le processus dobtention des soins sous la forme dun systme dynamique dans lequel laccessibilit spatiale constitue le premier obstacle. Afin de dfinir des indicateurs oprationnels de laccessibilit spatiale, une rflexion est mene sur la dmarche de modlisation et de validation des hypothses formules. A laide de ces cadres mthodologiques, une reprsentation cartographique de laccessibilit spatiale aux mdecins gnralistes et spcialistes dans les dpartements de lAude et de la Lozre est ralise partir dun indicateur de type 2SFCA (twostep floating catchment area) et selon diffrents seuils de temps de trajet. Les rsultats obtenus ont mis en vidence lintrt de cette dmarche de modlisation pour lidentification de territoires dficitaires en offre de soins et pour susciter une rflexion avec lensemble des acteurs de sant sur lorganisation des soins.
