Es entsteht der neue, autonome Typus der heiligen Konigin, der die etwas spater folgende hagiographische Schopfung des rex confessor ankundigt. In seiner Veroffentlichung ermittelt Patrick Corbet die politische Tragweite des ottonischen Familienkultes, ordnet die vorhandenen Texte im Rahmen der Entwicklung des mittelalterlichen Heiligenideals neu ein und hebt erneut die herausragende Stellung der Frau in der ottonischen Aristokratie hervor.
