Zu nennen sind beispielsweise das Theaterstck Les Liaisons dangereuses Christopher Hamptons von 1985, die Fortschreibung des Romans aus dem Blickwinkel der Marquise von Christiane Baroche 1987 und die hier behandelten Filme von Roger Vadim 1959, Stephen Frears 1989 und Roger Kumble 1999. Wegen der Perspektivenvielfalt der Laclos Forschung und des vermehrten Interesses an filmischen Umsetzungen des Romans, rcken die Themen Liebe, Libertinage und Macht in den Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit. Diese werden sowohl im Roman Les Liaisons dangereuses als auch in den Filmen analysiert. Bei den ausgewhlten Filmen handelt es sich um Kinofilme, die auch auerhalb ihres Entstehungslandes gezeigt wurden und daher ein groes Publikum ansprechen konnten. Der erste Film, der hinsichtlich der Liebe, Libertinage und Macht untersucht wird, sind die Liaisons dangereueses 1960 von dem franzsischen Regisseur Roger Vadim. Der 1959 gedrehte Film bietet eine Aktualisierung des LaclosStoffs, er bertrgt die Handlung in die spten fnfziger Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts. Dreiig Jahre spter erscheint der Film Dangerous Liaisons des Briten Stephen Frears in den Kinos. Dieser zeichnet sich im Gegensatz zu der Verfilmung Vadims durch eine grere Nhe zur Vorlage aus. Gegenber des ebenfalls 1989 erschienen Films Valmont von Milos Forman, der auch die Handlung des Briefromans Laclos' als Basis verwendet, wird hier aufgrund eines greren
