Product Description The letters of the alphabet introduce aspects of the work of librarians, including art, desks, exhibits, files, and glue. From School Library Journal Grade 24 Johnson's book features library terms or tasks beginning with each letter of the alphabet, blackandwhite photographs, and short text descriptions. A section at the end of the book provides additional information about librarians. The tandem approach of letter to library term seems forced at times, such as G for glue, I for ink pad, T for traveling librarians, and X to mark weeded books. Automation and male and minority librarians are shown in the photos. This book does present a broad range of general library terms and tasks, and it will be useful for career and community helper units.
