I bought the Life of Fred Beginning Algebra Expanded Edition for my high schooler, and it's been a hit! The storytelling style makes tricky concepts easier to grasp. Plus, the expanded edition has even more examples, which really helps with practice.

Fun way to learn math!

Good content but delivery issues
The book itself is solid—Life of Fred really does make learning algebra fun. However, my copy arrived a week late, which was frustrating. The kids were eager to dive in and ended up waiting longer than expected.

Not what I expected
I had high hopes for this book based on the reviews but found it a bit confusing for my daughter. The concepts are great, but some explanations could be clearer. She didn’t engage with it as much as I thought she would.
