reenwich became the site of the Dunbarton flax spinning mill in 1880, bringing hundreds of Irish laborers and others lured by prosperity and steady employment offered by the mill. These hardy workers gave the town a special character that lives on today. Volume 2, "The Directory," includes genealogical info about some 1900 individuals who worked in the Dunbarton mill
