Prints to be proud of in no time at allLinocut is a perennially popular medium for the amateur artist, as the forgiving process makes it possible for a beginner to come up with powerfully graphic results using basic equipment. Nick Morley is a seasoned expert at guiding aspiring printmakers through their first projects, and this accessible book distills his knowledge into friendly stepbystep workthroughs, liberally illustrated with clear photography and examples of Morleys own work. A section of templates at the end makes it easy to get started with block printing, so within a couple of days the reader will find themselves growing in confidence and skill.

I bought this for a weekend activity, and it exceeded my expectations! The guide was super helpful, and I was surprised at how much I learned in such a short time. The techniques for carving are excellent!

Not great for absolute beginners
I expected a more detailed guide. Some parts were confusing, and I found myself needing to look up extra resources online. If you have some background in printing, it might work better for you. Average experience.

Great introduction to linocut!
I just finished the 'Learn in a Weekend' course and it was fantastic! The lessons are straightforward, making it easy for a beginner like me to pick up. I was able to produce some decent prints in just two days!

Fun but a bit rushed
The course was enjoyable and packed with information, but I felt like it could use a bit more depth on some techniques. I love linocut, but I would’ve appreciated a slower pace to really absorb everything. Still, worth it!

A solid weekend of creativity!
I really enjoyed this course! It was a fantastic way to dive into linocut printing. The instructions were clear and I ended up with some beautiful prints to show for my weekend efforts!
